Love Letters is a collection of paintings that are meant to illustrate God’s hand in my life. Some pieces came about spontaneously, while others were given to me both in prayer and randomly as visions. Everything I do and create is made to reflect my love for my Creator and God’s love for us.
“Love Letters” is officially my first (and ongoing) collection. Each piece has has a never-ending story that can be be told in so many ways. I plan on continually adding to this collection as God gives me the grace to finish different pieces and start new ones!

Joy looks at the day and sees all of the goodness in it. She contemplates the beauty of the life around her. The Lotus, complimenting her innocence in the way she sees the world. She knows of the darkness but her light shines brighter.
Wonder is intrigued by the night. She loves to see the stars shimmer and she sees the galaxies far beyond. She believes the light shines more beautifully in the dark and when the sun sets, her adventure begins.

Love is focused on the now. She loves deeply and wears her heart on her sleeve. She is not worried about reciprocal love, she is not worried about what she can get in return because her joy comes from giving love anyone, especially to herself.

This piece was created over the last 5 years. It started as a feeling I had on this seemingly average day. I was taking a walk in my neighborhood in the afternoon. I took a moment to just look around and admire the trees, the sky, and listen to the birds. I felt so much joy and just felt all of creation was singing praise to its Creator.
This piece is an ode to those moments that might seem insignificant to the onlooker, but completely sacred to the one experiencing it. There are times that are meant for only us alone. Moments that seem eternal, because we have taken hold of them. All of a sudden: time stops, you look around at all the colors, all the life, and can’t help but feel that all of creation is singing together, and your heart soars and sings with them. I pray this piece is a blessing and a reminder to take hold of your life, moment by moment. Don’t put the worries of life on your shoulders but have faith and praise God. Because God alone holds our tiny yet invaluable lives in His great and capable hands.

Meet the Artist
Hi! My name is Denisse Alzohbi Sanchez and I am an artist who loves to work with oil paint, colored pencil, and occasionally, watercolor.
Drawing and creating art have been a part of my identity for as long as I can remember. I love creating portraits and still life paintings but the pieces I love to create the most are those that come from a deep reverence for God and an awe of the supernatural. This is why I love to include rich colors (especially purples and blues) to my work. These are the colors that I see and I want to share the richness of not just what I see but what I feel, with the world, with you. I hope you will stick around and see what God is doing.
